How do I qualify for the GED Scholarship?
There is no cash value assigned to the GED Scholarship. It is a waiver of tuition and fees; thus, the value in dollar amount can vary greatly depending upon each individualís circumstances. However, for the purposes of determining an average cash equivalent, it can be estimated that the GED Scholarship provides for approximately $6,000 to $10,000 of tuition and fees.

Applications for the GED Scholarship are accepted on a rolling basis. However, for students entering in the fall semester, applicants must submit an application with their qualifying test scores by August 1 of the year in which they will start classes at Pulaski Technical College. For students entering in the spring semester, applicants must submit an application with their qualifying test scores by December 1 prior to the spring semester.
What happens if I receive other scholarships? Will I be forced to repay Pulaski Technical College for the amount of the GED Scholarship?
The GED Scholarship pays for all of a studentís mandatory fees. However, it will not cover testing fees (NET, COMPASS, etc.) nor will it cover all expenses associated with certain programs such as the Aviation and Culinary Arts.
No, any other scholarships that students are awarded from outside organizations are for their use on books, supplies and other expenses. The GED Scholarship is not a cash award but is simply a waiver of tuition and fees.
